Nazare and a Frenchman !

Not too much to report today, we had a chores morning making use of the campsite laundry and giving Ed a clean up

Then we felt a crunch and a French motorhome had only reversed into us on the campsite 🤬

He quickly spun it around and headed to the service area.

I was annoyed he didn't get out and apologise and see if there was damage, but I assumed he'd stop on his way back from the service area.

As it happened there was only a small area of damage to the bumper, but that's not the point.

He didn't stop on his way past, just sped past as fast as he could without looking.

But karma is a bitch and it'll get him 🙏

I wasn't going to get stressed with an argument I couldn't win with the language barrier, so let it go.

Then we went down to the town to meet Lauren and Chloe.

We enjoyed a drink in a beach bar then had a paddle in the sea.

The breakers are amazing fascinating to watch crashing onto the beach, and the big ones don't even start until later in the year.

But the sea is so dangerous here, it's certainly not child friendly.

The beach slopes away steeply just feet from the shore and the constantly shifting sand makes your footing very unstable.
I suspect there are strong currents to that could carry you out to sea.

Red flags are flying with good reason, but it is odd to see a beach full of people on a hot day and nobody in the sea.

After that we spent the rest of the day doing not much.

Just as it should be on holiday, no time for stress.

That ring is about 10 feet across !

A beautiful beach, but so dangerous for the unsuspecting. I think it's around mid October when the professional surfers arrive in town with their entourage of film crews, jet ski support, assistants and no doubt assorted hangers on
