This week's trip is a little two nighter on the Tissington Trail in a little village called Thorpe.
There is a great free carpark on Narlows Lane, just yards from the Tissington Trail cycle path.
There are great views over the countryside to Thorpe Cloud.
No facilities, not even a bin, but nobody is complaining in such a lovely setting.
First of all I walked to the village of Thorpe, then up the hill to Thorpe Cloud which has fantastic views down the Dovedale Valley to the stepping stones.
On Friday it was a walk up the trail to Tissington village which is about 1.5 miles.
It's a walk with lots of scenery.
This week is well dressing week in Tissington, so all the wells are decorated by the villagers.
It was quite busy with coach parties of school children and OAPs, all here to see the wells.
The weather has been great, mild and sunny, but blowing a hooley today.
Tomorrow I plan to drive down to the NT carpark closer to Ilam and have a walk along the River Dove.
