We certainly found the sun in Lake Constance.
It`s been a lovely day here by the Lake.
Quite where all the campers were in Ferienpark Gohren
am See we never found out and as we weren`t impressed with the place we will never
find out as it`s not somewhere we`ll go back to.
We set off this morning along the lake road and first called in to
a small town called Langenargen. It was quite a pleasant little town and a walk
was enjoyed along the lake and around the shops.
After that we lost the lake road and got completely
lost in some suburban area. Tom Tom came to the rescue and got on track for our
destination for this evening.
It`s a very pretty town called Meersburg, it couldn`t
be more different to Ferienpark Gohren am See.
It sits right on Lake Constance
and the Stellplatz were on (GPS 47.70133 9.27217) is a ten minute walk into the
town. The best part is, showing the parking ticket we paid 12 euro for, gets us
free bus travel for today and tomorrow, so we were able to get the bus back up
the hill.
There are also three other British motorhomes here so
after hardly seeing another Brit for weeks, we`re now surrounded. It was nice
to have a chat with them all and discussions were had over various routes and
destinations each had taken.
This is a big wine growing region and driving here
took us past acres and acres of beautifully maintained vineyards. The town has
a medieval Castle and a Palace and has some very quaint streets and shops to
look around.
There is also a Zepplin Museum nearby and we saw an air ship float past us while we were sitting overlooking
the lake.
Tomorrow I think we will make a move north and begin
the final leg towards home. I`ve planned a route and found some interesting
towns and villages to visit, so it`ll be short hops and who knows what we`ll
find ?

I'm glad you've found some sunshine again! I bet mums happy too. Are you going to visit the Zepplin museum?
