Well nothing much to report today, yesterdays
thunderstorm is somewhere else and today we had glorious sunshine, just a
little high cloud drifting by to provide temporary passing shade.
They don`t allow dogs on the campsite beach but the
reception said we`d be ok if we stayed to the far side, so I don`t think they
are very particular about it.
As it is, I found a rather nicer bay and beach just a
short distance away around the corner and enjoyed some beach time. It has some
shade from fir trees and the water is actually clearer than at the campsite
beach, even though is only a short distance away. So we set up camp there
beneath a fir tree and did almost nothing.
Louis enjoyed a swim in the sea, first time swimming,
and a German couple pointed out a partly obscured “no dogs” sign we`d not seen.
But quite honestly, what are they going to do about it ? Louis did nothing except
sleep under the chair all day long and didn’t cause a problem to anyone. So I
ignored them and I don`t think they were too bothered, but being German they
like their rules ya !
Us Brits see rules being there to be broken, eh ?
I don`t think there is a lot to see on Krk apart from the natural beauty of the landscape and the coastal regions. We have a tourist information leaflet that tries to emphasise the cultural highlights of the island, but apart from one or two places of interest, I think they`re flogging a dead donkey
We may go exploring one day and find out for ourselves.
So that’s it for today, totally boring, but sooo relaxing.
