North a little, into the Italian lakes

Today we left our lovely parkup in Candelo and set off north east into the Lombardy region to a little town called Gavirate in the Province of Varese and on Lago di Varese.

It's a pleasant place to visit, without being outstanding.

We're at the north end of the quite small lake, so the mountains of the Alps are behind us.

It is a step on our journey towards Croatia.

Tomorrow we're booked onto a campsite on Lago di Iseo for three nights, so we'll be able to relax and have a break from driving and catch up with the HM's funeral on Monday.
