A very moving Day, never to be forgotten

Today we're watching the funeral for Her Majesty.

But not before a walk to a local nature reserve called Nature Reserve Torbiere del Sebino.
It's about 8 km all the way around and I didn't have time for the full circuit but managed to see what was there.

Then it was back for the funeral.
Wow, what a spectacle, moist eyes, but marvelling at the ceremony.

You've got to feel for the servicemen and women doing the ceremonial role. One slip and half of the people on this entire planet, some four billion souls, will say "what happened there?"

No one does it like the UK does. It will be a desperately sad day if the Republicans and killjoys get their way and the UK loses its pre-eminence at showing the world how to do ceremony and pageantry.

I thought the piper marching slowly away is very effective.

And the view from the ceiling of the Abbey, wow.

What a lovely touch laying out the flowers along side the long walk up to the castle a lovely tribute those that left flowers and a beautiful drive or walk past them and the pony and corgis waiting for their lovely boss to come home ❤️

When her majesty arranged this she even order the good weather

On a lighter note, I bought some Bramley apples with us from the garden and so I made an apple crumble this morning which we enjoyed with some custard whilst watching the service.
It seemed fitting somehow, odd I know ?

Tomorrow we're leaving Lake Iseo to head further east through Italy with a couple of stops along the way.

I've enjoyed this campsite at Lake Isoe and would definitely come back if in the area again.

Some viewd of Nature Reserve Torbiere del Sebino

Apple crumble, yum yum !
