Bloody rain !

Good news, we survived Friday 13th unscathed 😃

Bad news is this bloody rain.

This morning the forecast for Croatia had changed again and the predicted upturn had all but evaporated and more rain was forecast and actually falling.

So whilst we enjoyed Croatia, we were fed up with the weather.

The Venice region looked to be drier and sunnier, and I'm sure it was until we arrived, now it's cloudy and wet.

We set off for a small town east of Venice called Grado.

Probably 60-70 miles east of Venice.

It's on a lagoon similar to Venice and it's a very nice little town.

We're parked on a small island in the lagoon that allows overnight motorhome parking, for 5 euro.

I had a walk earlier into the town and it's quite a smart place with lots of trendy shops and a Saturday market.

All centered around the water inlets that clearly have a popular sailing community with lots of yachts moored up at the Marinas.

I was pleasantly surprised as some Italian coastal towns can be, shall we say a little tacky ? 

Much the same as home I suppose, but we've been to a couple I was glad to get out of quickly.

And yes, the rain followed us here.

Soon after I got back from my walk to the town it began drizzling, so feeling a little fed up with that.

But tomorrow is another day and the forecast for lake Garda is looking promising, so I think we'll head there, maybe.
