A lucky day! and Verona to explore

You may recall my misadventure yesterday with an automatic petrol pump and how it gobbled up my money but dispensed no diesel, well I returned this morning to the garage and the attendant was standing outside when I got there. I had barely finished telling him my story before he had his wallet out returning my 20 euro ! A good start to the day.

The decent from our overnight stop on the Monte Baldo hills was spectacular, a winding lane through rural Italy, with vineyards on both sides and dramatic rockey scenery, lit up by the morning sun.
Lots of hairpin bends and dramatic drops to look over.
The arm rests on the passenger seat definitely have grip imprints on them now !
We`d had some rain overnight but that had moved off and it was a lovely warm sunny morning today.
I`d set the sat nav to avoid motorways today, so the route it took led us through an amazing gorge with steep stone sides, I`ll look up the dash cam footage and see if I can link it.

Peschiera was busy with a Monday market but the result at the filling station made up for the traffic jams.

We then set off for Verona and I`m so glad we did.
It`s a very picturesque City with lots of interesting buildings and sights to see.
It was crowded and hot but still very worthwhile with so much to see. It`s quite a compact city and easy to get around but was quite tiring by the end of the day.

We are parked up on the City Sosta, (GPS 45.43449 10.97783) very close to Porta Palio and the other sights of the City. It`s 10 euro for the night, no electric but water is available and so are facilities to dump waste water. We`re parked here with lots of German and Italian vans, no Brits so we`re flying the flag for UK.

Not sure of plans for tomorrow yet................ to be decided.
