Today we left Chateauneuf Sur Charente after a lick free nights sleep for Louis with his buster collar remaining in place all night.
Today we left Chateauneuf Sur Charente after a lick free nights sleep for Louis with his buster collar remaining in place all night.
He wasn't very impressed but tolerated it.
Then we headed an hour south east into the Dordogne region and a very picturesque town on the Dronne River called Brantôme-en-Périgord.
The quaint town occupies an island in the river with many historic buildings. There are also the usual range of riverside restaurants and cafes and also a large Abbey rather dominating the town.
Also here are some pre-historic cave homes carved into the rock behind the Abbey.
We're staying on the town motorhome aire which is an easy walk just over the bridge to the island.
The Dordogne is very beautiful, it's easy to see why it's so popular with the British for holidays and relocating too, for those lucky enough to be able to do so.
We're parked up for the night at the bottom by the flag Aire de Camping Car |
