Very limited internet access tonight as we`re out in the sticks of Croatia.

Thursday 13th June
Today we had a bit of a lie in, just because we could, plus we only had a relatively short journey to the Mreznica River Waterfalls in Croatia.
I saw these whilst planning this trip and it looked a really stunning place. They do organised kayaking down the river as part of a group. Then the best bit, minibus you back to the start, my kind of kayaking.
I arranged the kayaking for Friday but I emailed them and they kindly said we could camp on their site, so we're in a beautiful field with swallows swooping over the meadow.
Tomorrow we, ( I ) kayak with the group.
After tea Louis and I walked down to the river and it is very beautiful, clear turquoise waters.
On the way to the Mreznica River, we stopped at a place called Rastoke on the River Korana. It is another amazing place, a little like Boughton on the water in Gloucestershire. But with the sunshine !

The waterfalls are also a bit reminiscent of Plitvice Nation Park in Croatia that we visited last year.
The geology is all karst limestone rock that creates these fantastic formations.
Another gem of a find.
Driving through rural Croatia today, it was hard to believe it was Croatia at all, so green and lush. Much like the UK, see what you think in the photos.
We have had another beautiful day of warm sunshine but much less humid that in Slovenia for some reason, but we're not complaining, it's much more pleasant.
Driving down through Croatia today we saw military helicopters flying, one was a chinnok. Anyway this evening they're flying again and we can hear them firing in the distance so we must be near a training firing range. Let's hope no stray shots come this way.
