After a quiet night at the Hostel motorhome parkup, it was straight up to see Slieve League or Slieve Liag as the Irish know it.
At 596 metres (1,955 ft) they are very impressive sea cliffs that slope up from the Atlantic ocean below, and today disappeared into the clouds above.
There are a few options to see them, a boat trip from Teelin Peer, a courtesy bus or walk up from the bottom carpark or drive up to a pay and display carpark then walk the final 2 kilometers to the viewing platform.
I chose the latter and whilst the weather wasn't ideal, it was a special landscape that deserved to be taken at a steady walking pace.
Although it was a bit misty with low cloud, it didn't rain and there was virtually no wind, so I look on that as a good result.
They are quite a spectacular sight.
We then drove south east and have ended up back in Northern Ireland at Enniskillen.
Our parkup for the night is Riverside Marina Campsite. A very reasonable 12.50 per night with full services. It's a recently opened site so everything is brand new.
There are a few National Trust properties nearby, so that's the plan for the next couple of day's.
