We left the Isle of Whithorn this morning and headed through the Dumfries forest for Glentrool Visitor Center.
We had lunch there and went for a walk up to the waterfall, which was a bit less than spectacular due to the lack of rainfall recently.
It was still lovely surroundings with rolling hills and pine trees.
Next it was on to tonight's park up on the coast in a small town called Girvan.
Something went a bit wrong in the route planning and the sat nav took us on a bit of a detour so the journey that should have been about 40 minutes took about 70 minutes.
Ah, the joys of sat nav 😅
Still it's a nice park up overlooking the sea with the Isle of Arran in the distance and a big domed lump of rock in front of us called Alisa Craig.
Otherwise known to sailors as Paddy's rock as it's midway between Belfast and Glasgow.

Alisa Craig or Paddy's Rock, I can probably get a better photo in the morning when the sun is shining on it instead of behind it

It's two miles in circumference and rises to over 1100 feet.
There was a Roman occupation there and a later Spanish occupation.
It's a bit busy here with lots of Scots making the most of the exceptionally warm sunny weather.
