No overnight spooky happenings in the Abbey or graveyard to report on.
It was very quiet and peaceful, shared with two other motorhomes.
First stop today was Threave House and gardens, although the house was closed today but I think the gardens are the main attraction with rolling landscapes and plenty of azaleas and rhododendron bushes in full flower at the moment.
After a couple of hours wandering around the grounds we set off for tonights campsite.
It's close to Kirkcudbright, pronounced kerrcubrit so I'm told after trying to get out Kirk-cud-bright and looking completely daft, lol.
It's a simple farm campsite with limited facilities, but right on a beautiful beach with fantastic views out onto the Gatehouse of Fleet bay.
So this will do us nicely for a couple of nights.
I might get the kayak out for a paddle tomorrow.
