Fyne Court and Hawkridge Reservoir

Thursday 6th June 2024

It was a very quiet night at Ledbury skate park last night after our evening walk around the town to see the historic buildings.

First job this morning was to get some LPG (for cooking and heating) the first place I tried didn't have the correct hose attachment and didn't have an adapter, now where has that happened before ???, ah yes Portugal.
I really must get a full set of adapters.
I have two but they've never been of any use for some reason.

Then I headed for Fyne Court in the Quantock Hills ANOB.
It's another National Trust site.

The area is indeed very scenic with rolling hills and lush green countryside.

There isn't a great lot at Fyne Court, I think the house is long gone but there are some lovely walks around the grounds that we enjoyed.

After that it was a short drive to tonight's parkup at Hawkridge Reservoir which is a great spot with views directly over the reservoir.

There's no access to the lake as Wessex Water has it well fenced off except for the local fishing club whose members seem to have to fish from rowing boats. No waterside pitches by the look of it.
