I think it drizzled rain most of the night, but woke to a beautiful morning with blue skies and crisp sunshine, something not seen for what seems like weeks.
So we had a walk around Fairbourne and a long the beach before setting off further south.
There were a lot of temporary traffic lights on the coastal route south, hedge cutting, wall building and barrier replacement seemed like the most popular activities along this road.
First call was Aberdovey for lunch and a long walk along the fantastic sandy beach which stretches for miles.
I do love Welsh beaches.
I do love Welsh beaches.
Next call was Aberaeron, a pretty little fishing village with brightly painted colourful cottages.
Unfortunately it's a bit of a construction site at the moment with sea defenses being reinforced and work going on in the harbour meaning it's mostly barriered off.
My planned overnight parking was also taken up with construction workers cabins.
So I headed for the towns North Beach carpark. I don't think overnight parking is strictly allowed here, but I figure there will be nobody around off season to enforce the councils rules.
I was joined by another motorhome and together I think we'll have a peaceful night's sleep with just the waves lapping on the beach to remind us of where we are.
