A slow amble down to Pembrokeshire

 Wednesday 13th April 2022

First stop of the day was to be Bridgnorth town for a wander around and I'd hoped for a ride on the funicular railway that runs between the low town and the high town. Unfortunately it was raining so that became less appealing.

So it was on to Dudmaston Estate just a few miles south of the town.

The family that owned the estate were collectors of modern art, so it was quite interesting looking around the house, no photos allowed though.

Our parkup for the night was a pub stop called the Three Horseshoes ar Alveley. It is apparently the oldest pub in Shropshire and is set in a quaint village with a very pretty church.

The pub staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was no food on as they can't get a chef, but they had some ales on so it would have been rude not to try

A lovely sunset at the Three Horseshoes
